Good Stress Management is very important for the management of epilepsy.    Stress is a trigger for seizures but as well can have a dramatic effect on the severity of side effects. If you look after your stress levels you can better manage your epilepsy by reducing the risk of seizures and making the side effects more manageable  So, making sure you manage your stress is very important. 

1) Reevaluate your stressors often so you can make good decisions about managing your stress and see if you need to make any lifestyle changes

2) Make any changes that you need to reduce your stress level.  That may be you need to spend more time with loved ones, change jobs etc.  Make the decision, follow through and review it regularly

3) Get to know the methods that help relieve stress, pick the ones that work for you.  Excercise, listening to music, aromatherapy, yoga, deep breathing, doing a hobby, spending time with loved ones all help relieve stress. This e-book has excellent stress management strategies to help you.   Find a couple to use and make a practice of doing them when you notice your stress level increasing.
